REDISTRICTING

I do not understand how the editorial ``The redistricting mess'' (Sept. 24) can presuppose an inexperienced Linda Sanchez could win over highly qualified Tim Escobar in the new 39th Congressional District.

Voters are more aware than ever of ugly fabrications and dishonest campaign strategies.

It would be helpful if your publication could make it known that even if a person is a Democrat they may vote Republican and vice versa in the general election.

You might also mention that voters will be called to jury duty. This will bring out the people the process was made for. Concerned, informed citizens.

Instead of the sky-is-falling attitude against the rampant stench and corruption, your job is to inform the public on how to make things better so citizens can vote with dignity for someone who has the moral values that will serve us best. Which, of course, in the 39th District is Tim Escobar.
